We run Saturday classes and homework support for children and young people aged between 5 and 16 year-old. We provide a safe and supportive learning environment and students are given extra tuition in Maths, Science and English by qualified teachers with a combination of peer and parents volunteers.

Classes are held on Saturdays between 10am and 3pm at the Froud Community Centre, 1 Toronto Avenue, Manor Park E12 5JF

At AFD Supplementary School, we aim:

- To provide extra educational support to children in a friendly, caring and cultural environment taking account of their cultural and language needs. We aim to help them improve their school attainments, overcome barriers to learning and build their confidence.
- To provide children with tuition complementary to the education received at their schools. We aim to develop a working partnership with parents and mainstream schools.
- To encourage a sense of social and moral responsibility.
- To provide positive attitudes, respect politeness and good behaviour towards others.
- To provide information on other relevant services and activities
- To celebrate the contribution that all members of our multi-cultural community can make to the school.

All our staff are well-trained and CRB checked and we have all relevant policies and procedures.

AFD Supplementary School has achieved the gold level of the quality framework for supplementary schools. The Quality Framework aims to recognise, celebrate, record and improve the achievements of supplementary schools. The Quality Framework is administered by the National Resource Centre for Supplementary Education (NRC), which is part of the learning charity ContinYou.
